I am here to walk alongside you on your journey.
I am always in your corner and I will work with you to get you to the place you want to be.
Hi, I'm Dr. Steph!
I'm so glad you're here.
SHINE Physical Therapy and Wellness was created so I could spend more time with my clients and provide higher quality care. Offering one-on-one treatments in the home or workplace allows me to deliver the best care while respecting your time.
HERE FOR YOU
My goal is to help you get back to doing what you love. I do this by prescribing a variety of movements, empowering you through education, presenting strategies that focus on achieving your goals. I will listen to your story and history, assess how you move and see what you’re able to do, and learn what you strive to be able to do. When you leave a session, I want you to feel confident that we are on the right path.
THE TRUTH
YOU are the most important part of your healing. We will work together to determine the cause of your symptoms, and also the path to accomplishing your goals. You will be seen as a whole human and not just your symptoms.

More About Dr. Steph, PT, DPT, COMT
I’ve been a physical therapist for over 10 years with the last 5 years spent working as a travel physical therapist. Five years ago I left a job that I was happy in to travel the United States with my family; my partner Tim, our seven-year-old son Griffin, and our five-year-old daughter Amelia, and two Labradors. We did this while living in a RV, because why not? We sold our house, vehicles, all of our non-sentimental things and bought a truck and 5th wheel. We hit the road with me working as the travel PT and Tim as the stay at home parent. And while this “nomadic” life is not for everyone or without its challenges, the advantages have far outweighed any of the disadvantages.
It had never been a professional goal of mine to be a travel PT, but traveling the country was certainly a personal one. I never realized the amount of professional growth I would gain with each travel contract. The variety of clients and treatment styles I was exposed to made me realize the type of therapist I could be in the right setting. The hard part was figuring out how to make that happen. Fortunately, choosing such a drastic lifestyle change five years ago, has made taking risks seem less scary.
Because of this travel lifestyle and the professional opportunities that it afforded me, I found myself more confident in my abilities, and with a stronger passion for helping other people reach their movement goals. It was with this realization that SHINE Physical Therapy and Wellness was created.
I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2009 from the University of Indianapolis. I’ve primarily worked with the orthopedic and older populations. I've taken numerous manual therapy courses and received my Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist Certification in 2013 through the Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. I have also completed additional training in orthopedics, myofascial release, breathing, Mulligan Manual Therapy Concept, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) level 1, and pain science education.
Over the last 10 years I’ve become more interested in the management of chronic pain and the need for a more integrative view in the treatment of the complexities of pain. What began as a career helping patients from an injury or symptom, has turned into a deep appreciation for an individual’s overall health and wellness that will allow them to remain more active later in life.
